Sometimes redundancy is a good thing, but most of the time it is not. I keep my Daytimer up-to-date with work, projects ect. but I love Google Calendar, it is so nice to just text the appt. to it, and it adds the appt. automatically…
I still like to use my built-in cell calendar to look ahead and see what I have, but I think I am going to stop using it because I have overlapped it with Google Calendar.
I refuse to give up my paper planner, it is as much a part of my daily life as my Moleskine, and I do like to keep it as a record of all the junk that I do each day. I don’t put the chicken scratchings that I put there into my Moleskine. I keep that for the important things.

Left For Punxy late last night, and picked up a ‘99 Olds Alero (Black 2 Door) that has a blown engine. I will either rebuild the engine, or replace it.
The car in general is in good shape, there is no rust that I could find, and other than a small dent in the drivers fender, and some cracks in the leather seats, I think that it will be a great car for Ami for a few years at-least.

I have just too many things that take up my mind, and distract me from
the work I must do. I have to get rid of some of these things that always pull me from what I intend to do.

Just listening to that song, and it struck me how like our times it was then. Sad, but really so little has changed in the world.

A ragged husk of what was once a Dandelion, The vignetting is intentional, I tried to give the impression that the wind was tearing the seeds away, if you look in the lower left you can see one leaving.

Well my Podcast Kit has arrived, and I am quite pleased with the quality of it. Especially the microphone. I have started to work with it, and looking ahead, I expect to launch the first episode of “Stray Poetry” On the 1st Of March, and a new show each, and every Saturday thereafter. Please watch here for more info. Just for a teaser; the title of the first show is: “Napoleon” I hope you will subscribe, and listen.
I intend to add it to the iTunes listing, and also have it as a direct subscribe here on the Blog, as well as more info, and some research links here.
I will also attempt to syndicate it on Broadcast Radio once I have worked all the bugs out of the process. (Six months to a year from now)
This is not simply a program of poetry, no it will be a mixture of poetry, prose, and wit. A melding of poetic ideas, and mental images.
Stay tuned for more.

Well, I am always getting into another interest before the previous one is over, but yet another is gripping me. I have always wanted to learn guitar. I have always wanted to learn an instrument, and the Guitar seems like the logical place to start. ( I did once try to learn the Violin, but I lent it to someone, and never got it back)
I will probably start with the acoustic guitar, and then later move to electric. I will try and hold off on this for at-least a few more months!

I looked at the new Macbook Air yesterday, at the Penn State computer store. It certainly is slim, sexy, and sleek, but I was moderately unimpressed with the performance (in the short test I put it through) probably due in large part to the slow drive. I did appreciate the screen; it was bright, crisp and clean. As I have mentioned before, I am looking for a replacement for my older Sharp MM20 notebook, and so that was my reason for consideration.
However, I am now leaning toward spending the little extra, and getting a Macbook Pro instead. I intend to do more audio, and graphic editing on the go now, so I think that this would be a wiser choice for my needs than the Air.

I ordered a Behringer Podcast Studio Kit from Amazon. I have been wanting to get into podcasting, and so I will. expect to see some podcasts from me soon. I picked this particular kit because of the price, and quality. I read a few reviews, and researched a few other manufacturers, and so I settled on this one. I would have gotten the firewire version, but as I have not yet made the jump to mac, I will just use the USB version for now. It is supposed to arrive Via UPS tomorrow. Continue Reading »

I am in State college Pa, visiting some friends, and I am writing this on A Macbook. I have been thinking of getting either the Air, or the Macbook Pro, so this is a sort of test to see if I like the keyboard, and the whole mac experience. Anyway, I was just looking on Amazon at the Sony MZM200 HIMD recording system, and I have been thinking of possibly getting one to record podcasts on.
I think however, that I will simply get a mono tabletop mic, and just record at home using Audacity to edit for now. i don’t really need to spend the cash right now since I am working on the house so much, that I think that is much more of a priority. So I will wait until I get a solid base behind my podcasting, before I invest the $380 or so for the portable recorder.
I am going to go to the Sprint store here in town today, and see if they will repair my Motorola V9m (the outer glass is cracked, and I don’t feel like changing it myself because of the haptics on the front display.
Ami and I are just trying to take it easy today, so that’s how our day looks.
