I may be overly obsessive about my organization, but I also find that entropy creeps into my life, and I am the cause! Each step I make, I try to become better organized, more efficient and to ultimately have a perfect system.
What am I talking about? Well, right now it is of all things; the backpack and it’s contents that I carry around all day. I have two goals:
#1:Bring Everything I Need’
#2: Bring Only What I Need’
They sure do seem the be the same thing, but they are not! Continue Reading »

I have been a longtime Day-timer Desk Size daily planner user. I use the Daytime standard 2-pager per day format, and my binder is a well-worn distressed leather open binder. I use it alot, and I take it with my in my pack everywhere. However, I have recently acquired a more modern (and smaller) filofax Pocket binder. I like that it is 1/4 the size of my current binder, that it is just as organized and has a myriad of small pockets and like my binder; could also be used to serve as my wallet.
My dilemma is: Should I give the Filofax a try this year, and if so, what are the advantages to moving to the smaller format? Also, I have noted that the Filofax does not offer a two page-per day format in this small size, but that should not be a problem, as I don’t generally use that much space in any case.

for The Past 2 years or so, I have had the Wenger Maxxum in red, I first chose it over the Synergy because it seemed larger, and at the time that was high on my list. I liked the expandable outside pocket which did serve its purpose. I have been quite happy with the pack, I carry my notebook (Sharp Pc-MM20) everyday in it. The padding is great! When I took a fall on my bike this last summer the notebook was well protected. (The pack however did not fare quite so well)

Now that I am ready to upgrade, I have decided on the Synergy. I like its looks, and it seems more ’streamlined’

I have had my eye on the Nokia Internet tablets since ‘05 when the first N770 came out. I loved the looks of the N770, and intended on buying one, but I never quite got around to it. The N800 came out, and I immediately dis-liked it. It was too ‘ipod/apple/chic’ for my tastes. I don’t think that consumer electronics look good in blah white.
When the New N810 was announced, I watched in rapped attention. I like the charcoal Grey design, I appreciate that they have done-away with the stupid rear bump that was present on the N800, but most appreciated is the new keyboard!
I think I will pick up an older N770, now that they are available for under $100 on EBay, and I will wait a bit and when the price drops to near $300 I will pick up an N810. Forget the N800.
