Finally came up with a name for our new dog: Nema

Published by Ezra under Everything

We decided to call her Nema because she was a stray before we got her, so there was really no way for us to tell what her name was. Since Nemo means no-one in Latin, we feminized that name, and ended up with Nema.

“Nameless” (our new dog) is an EARLY riser!

Published by Ezra under Everything

Early this morning, my wife and I, were startled out of sleep by “Nameless” (what we are calling our new puppy until we can think of a real name) She apparently doesn’t believe in sleeping past 5am.

She is 10 months, and has several bad habits that we are trying to break her of. She was a stray before, so she hasn’t had allot of training. She is even starting to teach ‘Aria’ (our Yorke) bad habits.

I am hoping that we can break her of this, but time will tell

Nameless has started to show dominance over Aria already. True, she is  a much larger dog, but Aria was here first. Aria does seem to hold her own quite well, but size is hard to overcome.

Late Morning today, working at the Library.

Published by Ezra under Daily Life

Working again from the Library, working on Lucidity Digital, trying to get all my categories in place! Seems to take forever, and my back feels a little sore from sleeping wrong last night. So that doesn’t help too much.

Ami is on her way to Brookville today, to get a new puppy (Jack-Russel, Beagle Mix) we are getting her for a companion to our current pup (Yorkie)

The name we are thinking of naming her is: Satine (Pronounced Sateen), we chose this name from one of our favorite movies: Moulin Rouge. Satine is the character played by Nicole Kiddman.

32+ Miles Cycling Today, Mega Commuting.

Published by Ezra under Daily Life

Today, I had to work in Warren, so I decided to take the ‘hard’ way in! I rode in on my bike. All 32 miles of hilly, winding road. I did enjoy it, but my legs feel weak. I haven’t been in good shape this winter. I usually get this way. Every summer I get into fantastic shape, and then when winter confines me, I get all flabby again.

On the trip, I was in the middle of climbing one of the worst hills on the ride, and here comes a guy in a huge SUV, and he waves and gives me the thumbs up sign. I don’t know exactly what his intention was, but I imagined that he was trying to encourage me to keep pumping uphill. I had to smile to myself. Here he was cheering me on, and from the sight of him, i expect his largest workout was pushing the remote buttons.

Wild Indian Paintbrushes. (Castilleja)

Published by Ezra under Everything

On a recent walk, Ami and I saw many pretty Indian Paintbrushes. I took a photo of some of them:

paintbrushes

They are a common wildflower here in Northwestern PA. But I still admire their beauty.

Unshackled III

Published by Ezra under Everything

Today working on Unshackled III for a little while, I have been working on installing DSL linux in the Navigational Computer. I am using a completely solid state system. No moving parts. That way there is nothing to wear out. As long as I don’t overheat the cpu, I will be able to run the system for years.
Also, today I did some Electronics component sorting. I have been trying to get all of my stuff in one spot, so I will have easy access anytime I want.
Well, I will bike 22 miles at 06:00 tomorrow morning, so I will be off to bed shortly!
